SQ 803 Will Need 70,000 Signatures In 2 Weeks
Rep. Jason Lowe is afraid you'll get yourself or someone else hurt if you exercise your right to bear arms (US constitution since 1790). He's working with other lawyers, politicians, and leftist activists to rush a legal action so that the law cannot be put into effect until the voters go to a statewide election (possibly sometime next year).
Oklahoma constitutional language says that a citizen can challenge any enacted law and force it to be set aside until a statewide election can have all voters give input. Current formulas say that the 70,000 signature petition must be completed and turned in within 90 days of the end of the legislative session (Aug. 29th). The petition has been filed but can be challenged by legal action before any signatures can begin to be gathered.
