The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority has released their first registry of physicians who have indicated their credentials and willingness to direct the treatment of qualified patients.
The long and growing list now spans to all corners of the state and all population sizes. From Guymon to Hollis, to Sallisaw, and Tishomingo; licensed and willing physicians are available to consult and examine patients who are hopeful of better results and quality of life. These practitioners specialize in many areas including psychiatry, oncology, pain management, and general family practice. |
SoonerPolitics is providing a larger registry on our special section, "Medical Marijuana". Our database includes those physicians who are already on the state's registry, as well as others whose paperwork has not yet been added to the voluntary roles at the OMMA.
Physicians are not required to register, nor do they pay any extra fees for this inclusion. It's simply an effort of the Health Dept. to better connect those in need with licensed professionals.
Many general clinicians are opting not to add their names to the OMMA list because they either first want to focus on their existing patients and the increased load of appointments, or they want to limit their role in this treatment until more information is made available.
We're asking our readers to help us expand the database by adding names of clinicians they personally know of, if that physician's name has not yet been added to the SoonerPolitics Registry. |
