For most folks it comes down to a risk/benefit assessment. To that end, if a treatment is not properly tested and/or found to not meet it's own claims, then the reliability & integrity of the medical authorities is harmed greatly.
If the harms from the treatment exceed the initial warnings, then folks will not only stop further treatments, but be less trusting in the future. The govt. is supposed to be a watchdog over the pharma industry, but they've become a cheerleader for big pharma and appear to be covering up important risk data. |
Our societies are becoming vastly divided between the statists who comply with edicts because they don't want to be seen as a lawbreaker. But several are refusing to comply simply for principled reasons of human liberty. Others are adding specific medical reasons for refusing a vaccine.

"For my family, I became very hesitant to believe vaccine claims after my wife & son suffered severe and lasting harms about 16 years ago.
Until then, the Whooping cough vaccine was declared "a lifetime inoculation". But it took thousands of harmed people getting whooping cough and then getting misdiagnosed for weeks, before the vaccine claim was finally debunked. "The Chicken Pox vaccine is a series of 3 injections over several weeks. It's developers told the federal govt. that if everyone was fully and properly vaccinated, the community cases of chicken pox or shingles would be about half (50%) what they are for an unvaccinated community.
But for generations past, the strategy was to deliberately expose children to the virus at about 10 years of age. Chicken Pox is an annoying and itchy skin rash over the whole body for several days. But once a child is recovered, the antibodies last for the rest of his life. If he doesn't get childhood chicken pox, he risks contracting shingles as an adult. Today's liberal medical societies now consider parents to be cruel for not opting for the childhood vaccine and instead relying on the natural therapy of childhood exposure.
