Russell Hunter Releases Statement Regarding His Arrest

Today, T. Russell Hunter, of the Abolish Human Abortion (AHA) published this response to the news reports of his arrest on driving under the influence.

T. Russell Hunter "I am more sinful and more in need of a savior than you could ever write in you tabloid. But Christ is a great savior and I know Him well.
The indiscretion and super poor judgement of driving home from my studio that evening was indeed sinful and I should not have done it. But I do praise the Living God for busting me in that instance and waking me up to the reality of what I was doing and saving me from doing something to harm anyone.
I don’t mind your articles and posts. There are plenty of things to quibble with in the way you present your case and your motives are on full display. But I know my Redeemer lives and that He is an ever present help and instructing Father. I do not reject His discipline nor will I let the work of the accuser distract me from seeking to establish justice and mercy in the world."

On Thursday night, a report broke, detailing his 2018 arrest. Hunter does not dispute the facts of the police report.
On Saturday, SoonerPolitics included this story in a broader report of the continued indiscretions of political figures.

Associates of Hunter called SoonerPolitics on Thursday night, just minutes after the story broke. A person close to the issue said that a public video statement would be released that night. But none was found or reported over the next 3 days.
This post from Hunter, at noon on Sunday, is the first that SoonerPolitics has been able to source back to him.
