After all the grand promises of transparency, Regalado hides what really goes on at the Tulsa jail. and folks are dying from mysterious injuries
 Investigative reporter, Ziva Branstetter, is hot on the scent of a cover up. She blew the lid on the Stanley Glanz administration and the truth got him thrown out of office. Now Ms. Branstetter is sensing an immediate return to the games of politicians who don't want the truth to come out before the next election. The Tulsa Frontier News is filing a lawsuit to have jail surveillance videos released in the same manner that deputies' dashcams are. But Sheriff Regalado is claiming to read the law in another way. And Regalado may very well stall the release of the videos past the June 28 primary, thus keeping the truth from jeopardizing his chances at another 4 years in office. |  |
Regalado has already broken campaign promises and subjected Tulsa County citizens to multi millions of dollars in lawsuits because his jail staff is inept at screening the masses of mentally ill who are jailed on trumped up charges, only because the state legislature has defunded the state mental health network, and peace officers have no other option for getting the seriously mentally ill dealt with.
Regalado did not create the state mental health problem, but neither has he actively pressed the legislature to fix the crisis. And when families notify the jail of the diagnosed illnesses, jail staff just laughs at them and say; "Yeah, they all claim to be bipolar!".
