SoonerPoll: Gas Tax Poll Results Are Bad For Legislature

Bill Shappard of SoonerPoll released the findings of a motor fuel survey. KOTV & KWTV commissioned SoonerPoll to find out of Oklahomans support the idea.

They don't.

The passionate opponents outnumber the passionate supporters by a 5 to 2 margin.

[QUESTION] The proposed gas tax would increase the sales tax on unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel from the current 16 cents per gallon to 22 cents per gallon. Knowing this, would you SUPPORT or OPPOSE this gasoline tax increase?
