After losing their voice and revealing their socialist agenda, the Oklahoma Education Association declared and end to their walkout, Thursday afternoon.
They accomplished no legislative gains since early last week when they effectively besieged the capitol and prevented any other citizen groups from having any events at the state capitol. The legislature fully passed a massive pay increase guarantee and a fully appropriated budget even before the Easter break. Democrat party operatives worked hand-in-hand with the union organizers and multiple disruptions of legislative sessions occurred throughout the 8 days of floor sessions. The good will that public school educators have gained over these past 2 decades since compulsory union membership was outlawed, is now severely bruised by the heavy-handed tactics of these past 2 weeks. What really exposed the socialist agenda is when the teachers were pressed upon to advocate for several other state agencies and even for increases in pay for the school administrators who have exploited the teachers for all these years, even while blaming the legislature for the greed of administrators. Now we have perhaps over 100 socialist education candidates running for elective office, masquerading as conservative Republicans & Democrats. |
