Trump Builds 'Frisco Theater' For Thousands More Rally-goers

6/17/2020

Comments

President Trump's advance team announced a multi-screen theater complex will go up around the exterior of the BOK Center.  The first screen is being erected on the wall of the BOK Arena parking structure, at 3rd & Frisco Ave.
Laura Trump told the Spicer & Co tv show on Wednesday night that 'some special surprises will also be a part of the outdoor experience. She did not say how many screens will be erected, but their rapid response team has multiple options to handle many thousands.
The looming challenge for rally-goers is to get into Tulsa early, so they don't risk a clogged interstate road, on Saturday.

The downtown Tulsa streets will see some blocks closed to vehicle traffic this weekend. It will allow pedestrians to gather in larger groups and even enjoy viewing the arena outside. But getting the people downtown will require a great amount of work. Some may have to get creative.
Tulsa Transit says they will be running normal Saturday routes. They don't seem interested in adding passenger capacity. In fact, they are limiting buses to 10 riders, and driving right past bus stops if they are full.
Lime & Bird Scooters are a personal favorite of this Tulsan. Park a mile away, and still get there faster than those fighting over a closer parking space.

There could easily be many more outdoor theater screens around the arena, and streets.

Bikes & electric scooters are readily available with just a phone app. Rates are surprisingly reasonable.
Tulsa police have already state there are going to be streets shut down immediately surrounding the BOK arena. We've created our own speculative map of the roads around the arena.

We're basing this on past events where these roads have been closed to vehicles.  But it's for added pedestrian access and holding capacity. Also, secret service does not want to provide too much detail where security will be jeopardized.
