A subcoven of west coast federal judges are conducting an emergency trial, contending that the President is utilizing the power of the federal executive branch, to commit hate crimes against selected practitioners of the Muslim faith. It started with one federal district judge in Seattle, who declared an emergency injunction, halting a key executive order to more carefully vet the travelers coming into the US from 7 specified nations whom the Obama administration had determine to present a heightened risk for terrorist activities. Last night, a 3-judge panel from the 9th Circuit held an inquisition wherein they agressively inspected the media representations of Donald Trump's campaign speeches. It was clear that they were seeking to divine the heart and motivation of the presidential executive order, rather than the clear statutory and constitutional role of the executive branch in making routine reviews and adjustments in the agencies handling customs, immigration, border security, and homeland defense.
