| Wendell Franklin is a 46 year old major in the Tulsa Police Dept. He lives in the Battle Creek Golf Course Subdivision, in northern Broken Arrow. Oh yeah;.. did we mention that he's black? It's not supposed to matter, is it? We should assume that he was promoted because of his talent, experience, discretion, and above all else... "The content of his character, not the color of his skin." What else do we know about Mr. Franklin? Not a whole lot. So let's give him fair play and help him have every opportunity to be a success. If he fails, let it not be because he was never given a chance. But the typical set of whiners who will never be satisfied and desperately need a demon police force to blame for their own failures, will need a few weeks to come up with a sophisticated way to call him an 'uncle Tom'.
