The Oklahoma State Board of Health is holding an emergency meeting to vote on rescinding their emergency Medical Marijuana Rules.
The agenda posted on the agency website says that an executive session will be the first order of business, to discuss the lawsuits and other legal concerns arising from their earlier rulemaking process of last month. By law, no votes may be conducted during the executive session, and no one except the board members and the legal council are allowed in attendance. At the completion of the executive session the board will review changes being proposed by the staff and may pass a resolution to forward them to the governor's office, for her enactment. The proposed new draft is vastly scaled back to reflect the Attorney General's advice pertaining to agency overreach, which led to the previously passed rules being met with lawsuits. Watch the meeting, live. |
