In my 12 years of service as a State Representative, I cast 15,095 floor votes, not counting committee votes, on a multiplicity of issues. I voted exactly as I campaigned and never wavered. In every vote, I thought on how I campaigned and asked myself: Is this vote consistent with what I promised constituents? Will this vote represent them as the conservative citizens they are? The answer is, yes! I never voted to raise their taxes, or harm small business, always voted pro life, always voted to protect their 2nd Amendment rights, and always voted to uphold the U.S. Constitution. Together, my constituents and I had an understanding, a contract, I fulfilled mine, they fulfilled theirs. I was loyal to the citizens of Moore and South Oklahoma City; the citizens of my District 54 have been loyal to me. I thank you for the trust you placed in me. Perhaps someday I will run for Congress. I thank you for you continued support! - Paul Wesselhoft |
